Hi there! My name is Taylor Deavitt and I am one of the first grade teachers. This is the grade where I fell in love with teaching during my student teaching placement, so I am so thankful the Lord brought me to AVCS!

I have been teaching since 2022. I earned my Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies with an emphasis is Elementary Education at California State University, Fullerton. After I graduated, I went straight into their Master’s program for teachers. In the program, I received my Master’s in Education for Curriculum and Instruction, while also receiving my Multiple Subject teaching credential. Before teaching at AVCS, I spent two years teaching fourth grade at another private Christian school.

My biggest desire for the classroom is to teach students about God, His love, and the subjects He created. While doing so in a way that honors and glorifies God and encourages students to do the same!
