Susie Kim
My name is Susie Kim and I am grateful to be a member of the AVCS family! I graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Political Science and received a Multiple Subject Credential and a Master’s degree in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University. I taught Third Grade for several years and then was blessed to stay home to raise our family. In 2015, I went back to the classroom as a credentialed substitute teacher for AVCS and the Capistrano Unified School District, and then in 2021 became a full time AVCS classroom teacher. Go Conquerors!
I have been married to my wonderful husband since June 2000 and we live in Aliso Viejo. We have two amazing children- our daughter will be a 2023 UC Berkeley college graduate and our son is studying Mechanical Engineering at UC Irvine. I also enjoy traveling, hiking, spending time with family and friends, and cheering for the Dodgers!
It truly is a joy and blessing to work with teachers and students at this wonderful Christ-centered school and I look forward to all that God has planned this school year!
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” -Eph. 3:5-6
