Hello! I am Miss Burgett, and I am so blessed to be a 1st grade teacher at AVCS! It is such a privilege to work with such a Christ-centered community. I have worked at a few different private schools, but none have portrayed the Gospel truth as well as AVCS.

I received my Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies at Vanguard University of Southern California, and my multiple subject teaching credential at Concordia University Irvine. I have taught 4th grade in Orange, and have spent several summers working with the Irvine Unified school district for their summer enrichment programs (also with 4th grade!) I love teaching 4th grade. It’s amazing to see how much the kids grow in their reading and writing abilities throughout the year. I am super excited for a great year, and can’t wait to work with your children!

Family: My parents are still in Las Vegas, and I have a younger sister, Samantha who also lives in Irvine! She is part of the marketing team at Crean Lutheran high school.
Hobbies: I enjoy reading, shopping, going to concerts, board games, and serving at my church.
Favorite Bible verse: Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
