“I can do all things though him who gives me strength.” Phil. 4:13

Hi! I’m Melissa Jenican and I am so excited to be working here at Aliso Viejo Christian School! I started at AVCS in 2013 and feel it is a blessing to be at a school where I can express my faith and my love of learning with all of my students.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Eric, and we have three amazing children: Carli, Camryn and Will. We live in Aliso Viejo, so it is a joy to live and teach in the same community. In my free time, I enjoy watching my son play baseball, going shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

I come from a family that values education. Both my parents have their doctorates and were principals before retiring. I received my B.S. in Child Development from California State University, Fullerton and my Multiple Subjects teaching credential from Chapman University. I taught elementary school for 10 years in the P-YLUSD before taking time off to spend with my children and was fortunate to be hired at AVCS when I returned to the classroom. I love working at AVCS and always look forward to a new school year where I get the privilege of welcoming a new group of children into my classroom and sharing my love of Jesus!

Blessings,
Melissa Jenican
