Kimberly Lehmann

2nd Grade Teacher

Hi! I’m Kimberly Lehmann (Lay-Men) and I am thrilled to be at AVCS. Ever since I was a young girl, I knew I wanted to be an elementary teacher. Since beginning my teaching career in 2000, I have taught kindergarten through third grade in public, private, and virtual school settings.

Family is a very important part of my life. My husband and I were married in 2014, and together we have a blended family with three wonderful teenage daughters. In my free time, I love to read, go thrifting, go to the beach, walk for exercise, and travel with my family.
I come from a family that values Christian education. I graduated from Western Christian High School and continued my education at Azusa Pacific University where I received my BA in Liberal Studies and my Master’s degree in Teaching. I love working at AVCS where I can share my love of learning AND Jesus! I believe God created us with amazing beautiful brains and it is a privilege and joy to help students unlock their God-given gifts and talents.

The Word of God is the foundation of my life, and countless Bible verses have uplifted and encouraged me through every season. One of my favorites comes from John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
