Kimberly Lehmann

2nd Grade Teacher

Hi! I’m Kimberly Lehmann (Lay-Men) and I am thrilled to be back at AVCS. Ever since I was a young girl, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I have been teaching elementary school for over twenty years. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade in public, private, and virtual education schools.

I have been married to my wonderful husband for 10 years. We have a blended family with three teenage daughters in high school. In my free time, I love to read, go thrifting, go to the beach, walk for exercise and travel with my family.

I come from a family that values Christian education. I graduated from Western Christian High School and continued my education at Azusa Pacific University where I received my BA in Liberal Studies and my Master’s degree in Teaching. I love working at AVCS where I can share my love of learning AND Jesus! I believe God created us with amazing beautiful brains and it is a privilege and joy to help students unlock their God-given gifts and talents.

My love for the Bible has continued to grow. I am on a daily reading plan to finish reading the entire Bible by the end of this year. I have so many Bible verses that have encouraged me throughout different seasons in my life. One of my favorites comes from John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
