Hello, AVCS Family! I am grateful to be part of this wonderful community and to serve as a 4th grade teacher.

I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and later earned my bachelor’s degree in English from the University of San Diego. Teaching English in Vietnam sparked my passion for education, and I went on to earn a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University.

I now live in Newport Beach with my husband and our dog, Bernie. I enjoy hiking, yoga, reading, writing, and traveling, and I hope to inspire curiosity and a love of learning in my students.

Most importantly, I am passionate about guiding students not only in their academics but also in their faith. My favorite verse is 1 Corinthians 16:14: “Let all that you do be done in love.” This truth shapes how I teach and live each day, and I encourage my students to lead with love and kindness.
