“How much better to get wisdom than gold,
to get insight rather than silver!” Proverbs 16:16

I love our local Conqueror community! I am blessed to be able to pour into the hearts of our AVCS children, and look forward to continue to help shape our precious young Conqueror minds!
I am in my fourth year (non-consecutive) at AVCS, having previously taught high school calculus, statistics, and personal finance. In terms of my education, I hold a Bachelor of Arts double major in Economics and Political Science from UCLA, a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University, and attended Math Single Subject Credentialing classes at Brandman University. Before transitioning into teaching, I was an investment wholesaler for financial services professionals and a retail bank manager.
I have been blessed to be married to my beautiful wife Janet since 2000, after meeting and falling in love at a tiny Baptist church in Redondo Beach. We live here in Aliso Viejo and have two sets of boy/girl twins: Meredith, a biology major at Westmont College; Grant, who attends Saddleback College; Regan, an English major at UC Berkeley; and Gabriel, who also attends Saddleback. In our spare time, Janet and I have become adventurous hikers, traversing parts of the John Muir and Pacific Crest Trails. I also coach our 8th grade boys’ basketball team and officiate high school football in my spare time.
