My name is Cathi Heilman and I have the honor and pleasure of teaching Junior Kindergarten here at AVCS. I truly feel like God has been preparing me for this role all along. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development from Florida State University in 2002 and went on to earn a second degree in Elementary Education from University of Nebraska Omaha. It was here that I started my teaching career and went on to earn my Master’s degree in Education.

I have taught 2nd, 3rd and pre K and I can truly say that I have found my calling. Nothing brings me greater joy and satisfaction than being someone’s teacher.

I have been married to my husband (Jeff) since 2005 and together we have two amazing children (Katie Jane and Megan) and TWO precious puppy dogs (Gracie & Bailey)”.

Each day I strive to follow the words of Colossians 3:23
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”
